Does a monkey see the color yellow?

New research shows that "Old World species" like chimpanzees, gorillas, and oragutans have trichromatic (three-color) vision like humans.

"New World species" vary: howler monkeys are trichromatic, but the owl monkey is monochromatic and can only see in black and white. Spider monkey males can’t see reds and greens, but female spider monkeys have a 40% chance of having 2-color vision and a 60% chance of having 3-color vision.
