I think most of them do, this is down to over reaction, rather than anything else. To my knowledge, no hacker has ever been extradited. As he committed the crime here, then he should be tried here. "Your quite happy for British citizens to hack into US networks willy nilly then?" No. But given that he committed the offence in the UK, he should be tried in the UK. Considering that we are talking about someone who is mentally fragile, then it would also be inhumane to extradite him. Infact, if I were you, I would be scared to death about how "willy nilly" Mckinnon did it. If he managed to do it, then anyone from Kim Jong Il, to FSB agents, to Osama Bin Laden, have been playing "Free Cell" and "Minesweeper" on the Pentagon's computers for the past seven years. They probably have their names up on the high scores. Fortunately, McKinnon is nothing like any of the above, he is just a UFO crank with Asperger's Syndrome.
