Does an employee accrue annual leave or sick leave from the employer while on military leave of absence?
Annual leave and sick leave will continue to accrue at the appropriate rate if an employee is in a paid leave status, such as during a paid military leave or while using annual leave and/or compensatory leave. Annual and sick leave will not accrue if an employee enters a leave without pay status. While you are in a paid leave status, all of your health and dental insurance coverage will continue automatically, and your premiums will be deducted from your paycheck. If you are in a leave without pay status, you may continue the health and dental coverage and provide coverage for any dependents if you pay the active employee share only.
