If you mean a pleco, than yes they can. Although people will tell you that they can’t because goldfish are ‘cold water fish’, the truth of it is that goldfish are rarely kept in chilled tanks, and are usually kept at room temperature, in which a pleco will do just fine. Just keep in mind that pleco’s can’t be relied on to clean a tank – you’ll still need to do this, and they must be fed or they’ll slowly starve. Also common ones grow well over a foot long so unless you’ve got at least a 75 gallon tank do some research and find a smaller variety that will suit your tank. Also make sure you provide hiding spots for the pleco or you are asking for it…
