Smoking one or more joints a day during a year or longer is considered long-term use. However, this varies from researcher to researcher. Apparently, it makes governments stupid as far as I can tell. Though it is simply a plant which evolved on the same planet we have, it is viewed by authorities (after some coaxing by the Hearst newspaper empire) as evil incarnate, and the long term effects of this delusion are: Overzealous police Overfilled prisons Costly surveillance programs Impossible posturing by politicians The enrichment of criminals for selling something made artificially scarce by government decree that otherwise just grows in the woods and fields. Mental and physical effects same as smoking, which enriches governments through taxation, with the added possible effect that cannabis tends to slow people down so they don’t use as many fossil fuels.

Effects on the Brain Scientists have learned a great deal about how THC acts in the brain to produce its many effects. When someone smokes marijuana, THC rapidly passes from the lungs into the bloodstream, which carries the chemical to organs throughout the body, including the brain. In the brain, THC connects to specific sites called cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors; others have few or none. Many cannabinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement4. The short-term effects of marijuana can include problems with memory and learning; distorted perception; difficulty in thinking and problem solving; loss of coordination; and increased heart rate. Research findings for long-term marijuana abuse indicate some changes in the brain similar to those seen after long-term abuse of othe

No. The government will not sponsor any testing using street grade cannabis. All tests must be aimed at finding a negative answer for virtually any question. Many in the FDA thought by admitting cannabis causes “the munchies” it would deter people from using it for fear of gaining weight. Most experiments are set up poorly and are rarely repeated since the government is not interested in the science behind cannabis. Even knowing tobacco will kill you did not stop the government from hiding the results of tests. Smoking probably isn’t good for you out of common sense. I wouldn’t believe that eating prepared cannabis would be any more harm than 80% of food supplements.

Cannibus decreases sperm-count in men, for one. It is a depressant which has been proven to lead to low motivation and apathy. All burnt things have carbon monoxide and other carcinogens in them. In addition, burning cannibus contains a lot of natural “resin” so does the smoke. (have you hever blown a puff of weed smoke into a towel? It leaves a brown area!) all of that sticky resin/tar coats your teeth, mouth, throat, and lungs. Besides creating a cancer-friendly environment, it also stains your teeth badly. Smoking marijuana causes many people to feel insatiably hungry for carbohydrates and the low motivation leads to unhealthy food choices, so it can cause over-eating which can lead to weight gain (which can secondarily lead to diabetes!) the drug in marijuana causes feelings of anxiety and paranoia (not necessarily related to the fear of being caught) Many people believe there are no withdrawal symptoms from marijuana, but as the drug alters your perception (mostly an easy-going, s
