Imagine the hottest British summer day … it is like that only with more humidity. Your children will need sunhats that shade their whole faces and a good quality sun block on. You don’t say how old they are but if they are resistant to getting sunscreen on you can get spray on cans so you can just grab a kid and spray before they struggle too much ! If you are planning a lot of pool time with little ones – also consider uv protection suits with long sleeves (ebay). Make sure the kids drink plenty of water – you can take bottled water into the parks and refill them at the water fountains otherwise you are paying $3 for a small bottle. Make sure you all have comfortable shoes – there is a lot of walking involved in the theme parks (sunscreen your feet as well if anything is showing). From the UK you will be jetlagged for the first few days which means you will wake up early … my advice is to eat little and often then to keep your energy levels up.
