Does anyone breed blue rats in Australia?

If there are any breeders of true blue rats in Australia they are few and far between. These rats commonly have bleeding problems, hemophelia, etc, and can have difficulty in reproducing because of this. It is generally considered irresponsible to breed these rats, and the breeding circles and rat clubs within Australia and Victoria do not condone breeding this colour. There are, however, blue type rats in Australia. Are you aware of the mink and dove colouring? These are pretty much a blue colour (and may be what you are seeing in the pet stores) only they do not have this mutant ‘blue’ gene which is responsible for all these health problems. There are many breeders out there breeding these colour rats. I am at work at the moment, but i will find some websites for you when I go on break. http://www.petdirectory.com.au/?page=dir… this site has a heap of links to rat breeders in
