Does anyone have a receipe for Dutch Cheese Roll?
it sounds like a ‘kaassouflee’ (dutch for cheese souflee) but with onions, and egg.. having just had a look on some dutch websites the recipie i found was: you get a piece of cheese, coat it in raw egg and then cover it in breadcrumbs and fry it until the breadcrumbs have gone brown and the cheese has melted. i suppose you could make yours by grating the cheese, mixing with egg and onion, then coating in breadcrumbs and deep-fat frying it, but can imagine it might fall apart if the ball of cheese and egg and onion isn’t tightly packed..
