Does anyone have experience w/ Hardie Stucco Siding?

“Hardie” board as we called in Florida, is a kind of concrete clapboard or siding material, and is nothing like stucco. Stucco is applied as a mud over a wire lathe, and hardens to a solid surface. Hardie board (at least as we knew it) is nailed on in overlapping layers, like wood siding. Since it is a concrete type of material, it is not subject to wood rot, splitting or termites, which makes it ideal for humid southern climates where those are common issues. The paint or coloring is also often embedded into the material at time of manufacture, and when it is, it should not need painting.
