Does anyone have experience with sailing?
Longtime river sailor….out of it now. What you are describing sounds like a sailing dinghy.10 to 14ft. Might not be enough boat for 2 plus packs without a small motor. Can’t always count on wind to get you there & back esp if there is river current. Clubs vary. Some have “club” boats which are shared & maintained by members. Usually smaller boats in the “dink” class or small “class” racers. Some marinas have clubs within clubs for different classes of design & size. Some clubs are for boat owners of any size. Ask around at sailing schools & yacht clubs in your area .
