Does anyone know a cheap online art shop?
Utrecht art supplies are the best, the student grade Utrecht brand stuff is excellent compared to what you can get at a regular art supply store. I’ve been painting for 35 years, and I still use a ton of their less expensive paints and brushes. All the stuff they sell under their brand name is pretty top notch, they are fast and have VERY good customer service. A very close second that most people like is Dick Blick art supplies, I understand they have great prices on your brand name stuff, I’m not sure if they carry their own brand though. If you are buying gesso, buy it from utrecht by the gallon, get the thick stuff, and it will last you 2 years, and replace your acrylic white completely.
