Well, basically you need to keep junk foods and takeaways to a minimum as they are high in refined sugar and high in saturated fat. This also includes ready made meals you buy in the supermarket. These will add pounds to your waistline. Cook your own foods such as:- Lean meats, poultry, fish (with scales on and not breadcrumbs), eggs, vegetables (including potatoes, but keep these plain and simple). Carbs are all very low in fat, as long as you don’t smother them in butter, cream etc. Include more wholefoods in your diet – brown bread, brown pasta, brown rice – which contain a high amounts of fibre, which means you feel fuller for longer. Beans & pulses, skimmed milk (instead of whole), skimmed has just as much calcuim in. Low fat dairy products, non sugary cereals, coffee, tea and sugar free beverages. Healthy oils (olive, sunflower, safflower, flaxseed and rapeseed). Limit these to 2/3 tsp a day. Drink plenty of water, snack on fresh fruit (instead of biscuits, cakes etc), try to cut
