Does anyone know any players the Newcastle Knights are targeting to sign during the 2010 season?
Mark Gasnier- He has met with Stone and has been shown around the club, we’ve offered him a long term contract and he has said he is keen only if his deal with the Dragons falls through first Luke O’Donnell- he wants to return to NSW and Newcastle are hot favourites I think they’re our only two big possibilities right now, players like Finch and Perry were asking too much so we’ve shut them out of the equation and we missed our chances with Mateo. I think our first priority signing is a new prop for this year. With Wicks, Houston, Tuimavave and now potentially Taufua out, and with the constant injuries Cross and Tolar get, we’re extremely thin in the front row department. Onslow is getting in contact with every off contract player and even some Super League players so we can start using all this money we’ve got just sitting there before the June 30 deadline. They’ve also said they have an eagle eye watching what the Storm players do, so hopefully some Melbourne talent comes our way. Dr
