Does anyone know how to remove scotch tape adhesive from walls?

Most tape adhesives, including Scotch Tape, are oil-soluble. If the wall can handle some light oil like WD-40, apply a light film of the oil to the tape residue (vegetable oil will work too, but it will take longer). Wait about 10 minutes (or an hour for the veg oil), and then rub lightly with a rag or paper towel that has been wetted with more of the oil. The adhesive will become soft and jelly-like and should come off easily. This also works for removing paper labels, as long as they aren’t the kind that you lick (which have water-soluble adhesive). Just apply some to the back of the label, and depending on how long it’s been on there, wait a few minutes to a day or two, and the label will peel off almost effortlessly.
