I am looking for a montessori daycare for my kid, and I think it is the best thing you can do for your children. It is really good for development and learning I guess. There is a really interesting one here which I am thinking of lately. I have heard a lot of good reviews and feedback about them, and I think that daycare is the best. What are your thoughts about such things?

The Creative Curriculum is wonderful. It will give suggestions for daily schedules and is very teacher friendly. It isn’t a road map for teachers but it is research based and has a great reputation. I have used it and I loved it. It does not believe that dittos or print-outs are developmentally appropriate for preschoolers though. Worksheet activities are not developmentally appropriate for preschoolers and can cause many problems. Worksheets typically have a “right answer.” Children may learn quickly that putting down a wrong answer (or drawing the wrong picture) is emotionally costly. Worksheet activities may make children feel ignorant and incompetent, so that they learn to stop taking risks by guessing… Check out the Creative Curriculum though. It is awesome.
