The link below is the largest no kill animal shelter in LA. If they dont have space, they may be able to direct her to a shelter that does. There may be a waiting list to get into a no kill though, as they have limited space because they dont euthanize pets. She may need to go onto a waiting list to drop him off... The other link (the bottom one) is a comprehensive list of all of the no kill shelters in the US. It looks like there are a lot of no kills in California. I sincerely hope she finds a place to take him... Best of luck, and I'm sorry that she has to give him up. I know that it's painful for her...
