Does anyone know where fruit flies come from?

You’re fine, clean and sanitary I understand but please don’t fret, it’s just “fruit fly” season. Our Winery is full of them and I have a couple of them flying around my house too and I’m like you, have nothing sitting out, no animals and am impeccably clean. They are just in the air, they have a nick name called the “dew”, they are attracted to sugar, the fresher the better and many succulent fruits are in season now, yours being peaches and our area, grapes. I have banana’s in the house year round and only September/early October, do I see these “fruit flies” all around………….From what I’ve read about these fruit flies, they are NOT in your fruit, just in the air, have a small life span and will diminish in about a month or so. Yes, they freak me out too…………..Enjoy your peaches and Happy Labor Day Weekend!
