Does anyone know where the pirate “Blackbeard” was born, and how he died?
America’s most famous pirate I think it’s important to point out that his birthplace is in dispute: Was it Virginia or England. I’ve heard and read it both ways. He may be from Grace O’Malley’s Ireland for all we will ever know. He definitely had ties to both places. Physical characteristics: Blackbeard was tall and muscular, and used his physique to his advantage. His mere reputation had enemies surrendering with little resistance.
