Does anyone think that Halloween is a dying tradition?

it is dying out, but in my area it is possibly dying out due to being hijacked by thugs. about 10 years ago we used to get kids coming around in their cute costumes trick or treating and it was fun, everyone would have a laugh. more recently, though we’ve had: – groups of boys walking around sometimes flipping parked cars onto sides – cars being keyed (paint scratched off with keys) – my neighbours kid was threatened and almost beaten up by a bunch of kids from his school who it appeared waited till his mother and brother had gone out to knock on the door – flower and eggs being thrown at people’s property such hijacks have resulted in people not wanting their kids to go out in case they get dragged into something by stupid kids (actually a lot of the ones causing trouble are older teenagers who grow old but have no sense of maturity). the tradition is only dying down because it is being hijacked.

I don’t think Halloween as a whole is a dying tradition, but the whole trick-or-treating has gone way down. It ruins the whole holiday.
