Perhaps there is benefit also from the malic acid content. You could certainly try it and see if it helps. Take 2 teaspoons in a glass of water first thing in the morning and perhaps before lunch and supper. Many get relief from the supplement glucosamine. You can purchase a shellfish-free one if you are allergic to shellfish or prefer a vegetarian option. MSM may also help alongside glucosamine. Turmeric may help as an anti-inflammatory and ginger too…. and ginger may also help with pain relief. You can also buy glucosamine in a gel form. Or you could try arnica gel or fiery jack ointment. The latter you can get hold of from any pharmacy….it is an old-fashioned remedy. Don’t expect instant results. Do persever
