Does Atmel recommend using the data polling or toggle bit feature during the programming operation ?

0

The typical time to program a byte or a sector of data (29 series) is less than the maximum time specified in the datasheet. The programming time is a function of the power supply voltage and the temperature. During the programming operation, the user can either wait the maximum time specified in the data sheet or use the data polling bit available on I/O7 or the toggle bit available on I/O6 to determine when the program operation has been completed. To save time, Atmel strongly recommends using the data polling or toggle bit feature.
