Does banning extremist religious organisations work?

0

Extremist religious organisations have a persecution complex, so they thrive on banning – they take that to mean they are being persecuted by “the Great Satan”, or “Babylon The Great” or whatever. And such organisations can be very law-abiding, peaceable ones! They don’t have to be linked to terrorism in any way to have a persecution complex! With this group, you can be sure that the Government knows a dashed sight more about them than you or I can ever know. They will not ban any group unless that group is doing or planning to do something illegal. Britain is a very tolerant nation but even the British have their limits. The Government knows this group will reform. They will be keeping tabs on them. Someone has to. We who are concerned about the spiritual dimensions of all this need to be praying that deceived souls will be liberated from their bondage to man-made organisations that pretend to be God’s approved channel.
