Does being induced hurt more or less?
I was induced for both deliveries. I was dilated to 5cm before I had the epidural and the contractions were still tolerable at that point. My cervix is very high so when they inserted the cervadil (sp) it hurt because they had to work to get it to my cervix. I’ll be honest, it took a long time for me with my first (approx. 24 hrs.) and even longer with my second (48 hrs. ~ yikes!) to start dilating. Once it started though it went fast. My sister-in-law was induced twice as well and had both her babies within 4-6 hours. Just keep in mind that different people have different experiences and everyone handles pain differently. Your bound to get all kinds of stories! Try to block out the negative/bad stories and focus on staying positive and you’ll do fine no matter what. It’s hard to imagine but you really do forget it all once that beautiful bundle is in your arms! Good luck and God Bless!
