Does brown spotting before my girlfriends period mean that shes pregnant?
She isn’t pregnant. She is probably ovulating right now – that means her body is releasing an egg, making it her most fertile time. Some women get brown or pink spotting during this time. I don’t know where you read that about the birth control pills, but that sounds WAY false – so don’t do it again. Just have her start taking birth control regularly so you don’t have to worry about this next time. Brown or pink spotting may be a sign of pregnancy (in about 20% of women) and is known as implantation bleeding (I never got this with either pregnancy) but it would happen a few days before her period is due – not 2 weeks. She isn’t pregnant – relax and use protection for real next time.
