Does Camden County Have a Leash Law?
Yes. All pets must be restrained to their owner’s property by fence, leash, or other appropriate measure. Animals may not leave the owner’s property unless properly leashed and accompanied by a responsible person. Animals chained, tethered or fenced outside must have a weatherproof shelter. Waste from the animals must not be allowed to accumulate causing an annoyance or health hazard. Loose dogs are a public health and safety hazard. Since it is impossible to determine how well trained any individual dog is, Camden County requires all dogs be leashed and under the care & control of a competent person. Please remember when walking your dog(s) you are required to remove and dispose of any feces your animal deposits.
