It will have some of it… but not as much as fresh pineapple. When foods are canned commercial, there is commonly some heat used to sterilize the can and contents to make sure that there won’t be any growing microbes in the food. That heat also destroys some of the enzymes (including some of the Bromelain), so it won’t have as much of an impact for digestion. I’m actually allergic to pineapple (but I love it, so it really sucks). I have a much bigger and faster reaction to fresh pineapple than canned, so I know from personal experience that there is a lot that’s lost in canning. However, when I need the benefits from the Bromelain, I actually take it in a supplemental capsule to make sure I get the most without the reaction to the pineapple. Good luck!
