Does Catawba County Animal Services have dog and cat traps available for the public to use to capture stray animals?
The public may request an animal trap for a dog or cat by calling (828) 465-8228. An Animal Control Officer will come out and set an animal trap and show the citizen how to set the trap. The citizen must sign a release that allows the Animal Control Officer to come on the property and pick up animals, or pick up the animal trap. There are a limited number of traps available, Animal Services will provide the citizen with a dog or cat trap as quickly as one is available.
