Does chewing gum in school help with learning and concentration or not?
It neither helps nor hinders – but chewing gum creates a real mess in school. Kids leave it under the desk, it gets dropped on the floor, in the hall, in the washroom – it just creates a mess all over the place. And if someone is required to answer a question, they aren’t going to speak very clearly with a wad of gum in their mouth.
