Does Cincinnati Voice support dial-up modems and connection to security, satellite or digital video recorder systems?
No. Cincinnati Voice presently does not support dial-up Internet access or dial-up modem connections which may be required for some security systems, satellite dish receivers, digital video recorder systems or other devices. However, we recommend that you check with your hardware manufacturer or service provider, as many of these devices will support an Ethernet connection to Cincinnati Broadband Internet service. If you have any equipment that requires a dial-up modem connection, you may wish to retain a basic traditional phone line which can be connected to the device(s) separately from your primary Cincinnati Voice phone line.
