Yes and yes. Physical addiction to most drugs (coke, meth, pot) are usually short term and not that powerful. Sure a little of the DT’s (withdrawal symptoms) however manageable and do not require medical intervention. Heroine (as a big example) carries strong physical addiction that does require medical treatment (such as using a substitute drug to ween off the heroine). It is one of those that require months of medical treatment to get through the physical addiction. Usually those drugs with short term physical “need” are considered to be not physically addictive. while those requiring medical help are. It is a misnomer. Psychological dependency is the biggest and most powerful part of all drugs and alcohol. Usually it is life long and requires immense amounts of therapy, program and or “will power” to combat. Most drugs actively change the chemistry in the brain (forever) as well. Leading to an organic (similar to physical) addiction. Emotional and mental attraction remains for life.
