Does Codeine cancell Lexapro effects?

Hi all, Ive been taking Lexapro for over a week now. Usual side effects which at least suggest that it might work(unlike most of the others for me). For the past two days I have had to take Codeine tablets and they appear to lessen the side effects……would this mean that it is making the lexapro ineffective. I would rather live with pain than depression!
