Does cool, windy weather affect the ability of the sun to tan me?
The cool or windy weather doesn’t affect tanning. Even if it’s cloudy, the ultraviolet rays can still damage your skin when you go out. You may think that you didn’t get a tan because the sun have not stimulated your skin to produce a lot of melanin (dark pigment in the top most layer of the skin which give our skin its normal color) or it is not visible yet. Please observe the outside corners of your eyes, you will see changes in our skin, like dryness and small wrinkles, If you have freckles, observe how it grows bigger after a long day outdoors with or without direct sunlight exposure. It is best to use sunscreen before exposure and the greates prevention against skin cancer is decreasing the time of direct exposure to sun to at least less than an hour. Avoid being under the sun at noon time.
