Does Cosamin®DS interact with Coumadin?
Carefully designed animal studies have determined that Cosamin®DS has no clinical effect on blood clotting. There is no known indication that Cosamin®DS has any interaction with Coumadin or any other drug. However, since many factors can influence the blood clotting cascade, we recommend that all individuals taking Coumadin have their clotting times evaluated frequently, especially when introducing any additional nutritional or pharmaceutical agent into their regimen.
