Does divorce revoke a previous Will?
Depending on the jurisdiction in which you reside, a divorce may revoke your previously made will. In some jurisdictions your entire will is revoked upon divorce. In other jurisdictions a divorce may have no effect on your will or only specific provisions relating to your former spouse will be revoked. Note: In Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and New South Wales, divorce has the effect of revoking provisions relating to the ex-spouse. In Tasmania, divorce will revoke the previously made Will altogether.
