Does domestic violence affect a persons mental and physical state?
Absolutely; it depends on the kind of domestic violence, but there are mental repercussions. Physical violence definitely leaves scars and bruises and perhaps causes hospital visits. Emotional abuse can really tear down into a person’s soul and really make that person weak and not capable of going to work or having to call in sick or whatever that the situation is. It just really depends, but definitely domestic violence takes a huge toll on a person’s mind, body and spirit.
