Does EMG Whiz penalize for ordering too many studies?
EMG Whiz does not contain an algorithm to recognize when too many studies have been ordered. Such an algorithm would introduce a high level of subjectivity into the logic, because there is very little consensus among electromyographers of what constitutes “too much.” However, I believe that over-testing should be discouraged, and we are working on ways to do this in future versions of EMG Whiz.
