Antillon, MD., *Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, MO.Purpose: The published data on accuracy of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) to differentiate inflammatory from neoplastic process in a lymph node has been varied. This differentiation is crucial for appropriate therapy. The impact of EUS-fine needle aspiration (FNA) in the evaluation of mediastinal lymphadenopathy is not clear.Aim: To evaluate the accuracy of EUS alone and EUS with FNA in evaluating mediastinal lymphadenopathyMethods: Study Selection Criteria: Only EUS and EUS-FNA studies confirmed by surgery or with prolonged follow-up were selected.Data collection & extraction: Articles were searched in Medline, Pubmed, Ovid journals, CINAH, and Cochrane controlled trials registry. Two reviewers independently searched and extracted data. The differences were resolved b
