Yes – birth control pills alter your hormone levels and going off of them, especially if you were on them for 10 years, is going to throw your body off as your body gets used to the change in hormone levels again. I would give it a couple of months for your body to adjust, but in the meantime, if the symptoms you are having are bothersome, you really should contact your doctor. You could call your doctor’s office and ask to speak to the nurse. The nurse can determine over the phone if your symptoms are cause for concern and you should come in to see the doctor.
