Actually, Harry Potter does die, but it is revealed that he cannot die as long as Voldemort is alive, because he used Harry’s blood to revive himself. Harry is then given the choice to “go on” or return and fight voldemort, and he chooses to fight Voldemort. It is never truly revealed if he died or not, but you can assume he did because as he “died” he was talking to Dumbledore, who also was dead. Harry returns and Voldemort’s attempt to Kill harry the final time rebounds back to him and kills himself. Harry lives to have 3 children with Ginny Weasley. Great, Great book!
