Does having an international student affect my house or car insurance policy?
You are responsible for informing your house and car insurers that you have taken on the voluntary role of a Host Family to a student from overseas who is at boarding school. Most insurance companies will just note this. Some may make a nominal charge as a result and you will be responsible for payment of this. When you sign your Host Families agreement, you are confirming that you have complied with this requirement.
