Does having braces hurt a lot more for adults and how long it would last?
Pain has no age. I got braces (I’m 15 soon going to be 16) and they only hurt if you bite down, you might feel a very annoying amount of pressure for about 2+ weeks, the pain will last for like 8 or 9 days max so eat stuff like soup. Liquids will assure you have no pain, ’cause even mashed potatoes hurt me. Don’t bother taking Tylenol and what-not as you’ll just be getting heartburn for no reason. I recently had them tightened (They didn’t hurt anymore) and my ortho put in a temperature wire which basically if it begins to hurt I drink cold water and the wire loosens a bit so ask your ortho if you have that type of wire on as well.
