Does Henkel offer a stock option program to its employees?

0

Since 2001, Henkel has provided its employees with the opportunity of acquiring Henkel preferred shares within the framework of its Employee Share Program (ESP), thus enabling them to participate in the fortunes of the corporation. Henkel tops up the investment with a share bonus (limited to a maximum of 4% of salary or a maximum of 4,000 euros per year resp.). The Henkel management decides on the level of bonus on a year-by-year basis. In the case of 2005 for example, the bonus amounted to one third of the employees’ investment. The holding period for these shares is three years. As at December 31, 2009, some 14,000 employees in 56 countries held a total of around 4.0 million shares within the ESP, or around 2.2 percent of Henkel’s preferred shares outstanding. Further information about the employee share program can be found here.
