Does HME work with languages that don use the Roman alphabet?

Yes and no. You can’t use non-Roman writing systems in the main window so HME won’t work to teach Japanese or Greek. BUT you can write Japanese, Greek and other languages in the other windows. So if you want to teach English for Chinese speakers with explanations and translations in Chinese, that will work. We are working on a version of HME for non-Roman alphabetic languages (Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, etc.) as well as a for languages with continuous writing systems (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.). The input method in HME for non-Roman writing systems is the same as is used for general word processing, using the operating system or international input settings of your computer.
