Because whenever I see a “peace-loving tree hugger” he is usually an unkempt dirty hippie with too much weed and no money. That, or he is the cute teen guy that the female main character thinks is “dreamy” and wants to know how to impress him. And I’ve never seen them portrayed any other way. And as a rule, the Hollywood exec characters in movies, or any execs for that matter, are portrayed as evil individuals who will eventually learn the value of family and friends. Then they quit their job, and start paying attention to their family again.
