Does homeowners insurance cover flooding from frozen water pipes?
Generally coverage is provided but there can be limiting factors. If it can be established with the utility company that heat was not maintained in a dwelling and there is no winterizing of the plumbing system a pipe freeze water loss can be denied. Because those conditions are fairly hard to establish in most cases the damage is provided coverage.
