Hostess brand chocolate Twinkies, also known as Choco-Diles, are still manufactured. However, it is difficult to find Choco-Diles in stores because they have a short shelf life and few retailers choose to carry them.

Chocodiles are not chocolate twinkies. Chocolate Twinkies are different. Chocodiles are normal twinkies dipped in chocolate, while chocolate twinkies are just that, chocolate twinkies that are chocolate cake through and through loaded with white cream. They existed in the early ’80s. As to them still being around, I can not answer, but at least I’m not giving someone false hope by confusing two different food products.
