Does Hydro One practice “prudent avoidance” and/or follow the “precautionary principle”, like in so many other jurisdictions around the world?
Even though there is no scientific basis to conclude that EMF cause adverse health effects, Hydro One has adopted certain “precautionary” measures which are consistent with the recommendations of Health Canada and the World Health Organization. These include: (1) monitoring scientific developments, (2) supporting research on EMF and (3) providing information about EMF to our customers.
