Does Intel(R) Pentium Inside (2006) have 2 Cores or 1?

The Intel Pentium processor in 2006 contains 2 cores. Pentium dual core is basically a mainstream version of Core 2 Duo and Celeron dual core for low end. Intel Through that Pentium dual core would confuse people and mistaking them as older Pentium D, so they will buy Core 2 branded CPUs. Then people found out that Pentium Dual Core is a Core based Dual core. Since almost everyone know that Pentium dual core is a core 2 duo, Intel rebrand Pentium Processor to confused people that its a single core (Core 2 duo. core 2 Duo with one disabled core). After rebranding Pentium dual core as the Intel Pentium Processor, people than reviews show that they are getting really confused. Because, if Intel didn’t get them confused, the Intel Core 2 line processors will fail the market. To me, I think this is one of Intel’s hardware x86 (Pentium dual core named as core duo 32bit only for x86 )/x64 secret.
