Does internet browsing history slow down Internet browsing?
By keeping that much history, you’re writing new entries to the bottom of a long list each time you go to a new site. It takes a while for the system to do this. And if you’re also keeping all of your temporary files (you didn’t say if this is true, but you didn’t say you weren’t) then you are amassing a huge directory of completely useless files. In addition to taking up a lot of space on your hard drive, you’re making the browser work that much harder to locate the right files and images to show. In my humble opinion, keep your history to a couple of weeks maximum. You’ll use much less storage, adn your machine will run faster.
Yes, they do….If you optimize your cache or temporary Internet files.then it will improve your Internet connection performance by not downloading the same file over and over.I have tried running a speed test before and after clearing the cache.I used Scanmyspeed.com to test the internet speed and found a little steep in internet speed once I cleared the internet temporary files.
