Does it take 2 weeks to change head gasket on rover 75?
They’re taking the p!ss and they know it. I’m assuming this is a secondhand car warranty since Rover 75’s haven’t been sold new for about 5 years. It’s a pig of a job and probably will cost them more than the car’s worth to do, particularly if it’s the V6 engined version, which is why they’re stalling. That’s not your problem though, and they should have fixed the car by now. I’d start getting stroppy. DEMAND to see the boss, make it quite clear that unless your car isn’t fixed and returned to you within 7 days you’ll be taking the matter further. The Rover 75 may be out of production but there’s no problem getting parts for them, particularly ones related to head gasket failure since they suffer from as many hgf failures as they do punctures on average.
